Massage therapy has many benefits, but Oncology massage is a form of specialized, non-invasive therapy that helps one manage the stresses of cancer treatment. It uses a light touch along with slow, steady movements, and is intended to help the body relax. Therapists are specifically trained for this type of massage and understand how to work around ports and other medical devices.
Oncology massage benefits are intended to include:
- Improved ability to tolerate cancer treatment side effects, including pain and nausea
