Places everyone! The Youth Theatre Program is an all-inclusive educational theatre program for grades K-9. In addition to learning about theatre, we strive to help students build confidence, improve communication and increase skills. Theatre is an experience your child will never forget; it’s a unique group effort that requires everyone’s participation to bring a show to life. What makes the J Youth Theatre Program so unique?

Everyone who auditions is cast in every show
We welcome first-time actors, as well as those who are more experienced
Rehearsals are concentrated on Sunday afternoons until right before the production
You become part of the Youth Theatre family, creating bonds, collaborating with friends and sharing your progress and successes as performers

Youth Theatre Musical Revue

A new opportunity from Youth Theatre! Priority registration will be given to students not already registered for the spring musical. This revue will consist of solos, duets, and group numbers from various musicals in the American Musical Theatre Canon. The revue will be a half-hour compilation of song and dance and be featured during the Youth Theatre’s spring run.

Youth Theatre Spring Musical: Matilda Jr.

Rebellion is nigh in Matilda Jr., a gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the “revolting children” who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.

Packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs, Matilda Jr. is a joyous girl power romp. Children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination.
