Youth Basketball Programs
To participate in a J basketball program, your child must have a signed waiver. If you register online, the online waiver was included. However, if you register by phone, by mail, or in person, we will need this online waiver signed & completed prior to the first day of the program. Please find the waiver below:
A parent-child developmental program to prepare for organized sports. Parents work with their children in a structured environment as they learn how to properly teach and support their children in sports. Participants receive a t-shirt and a participation award. Parent participation is mandatory.

Basketball J Academy is the top group training program in the St. Louis area. Players will learn the fundamentals of basketball that include passing, shooting, and ball handling. This program will challenge players in small group play by introducing strength and conditioning as well as agility drills. Our basketball academy is for both boys and girls in kindergarten through 8th grade. Academy offers a unique opportunity for beginner, intermediate and advance level players to refine fundamentals, learn to play the game of basketball, and stand out on the court.

J Basketball Skills Academy focuses on core fundamentals for all skill levels. Areas of concentration include shooting mechanics, speed and controlled dribbling, on- and-off ball defense, footwork, and offensive and defensive principles. Fee includes a jersey, seven weeks of training and small-game play.

1st – 12th grade. Basketball training focuses on core fundamentals for all skill levels. All parts of the game may be worked on. Private workouts are customized to meet the specific needs of the player. Group workouts are great for discounted pricing and offer team skill-building. Take your game to the next level.

Winter Basketball Leagues
Registration for the J’s Winter Basketball Leagues is OPEN! Games begin in early January.
Specifically designed for kids in Pre-K, this starts with practices where players focus on learning how to shoot, dribble, pass, and have fun playing as a team. The season concludes with games. Teams are coached by volunteer parents and consist of up to eight players. Games played at either J location. Session format is 20-minute practice followed by games led by coaches.

Basketball League
K-8th grade. Registration is open for boys’ and girls’ teams. Gender-specific divisions will be formed based on enrollment. Full package for K-2nd grade includes a weekday practice at either J location, 10 weekend games and a uniform. The 3rd-8th grade league features 10 weekend games with option of adding on practices and/or team uniforms for additional cost.
*New for the 2025 season, we will accept 3rd-8th grade individual players and form teams as available!

Basketball League
9th-12th grade. We welcome team signups and accommodate individual signups based on availability. Each team must have a coach who is at least 21 years old. Depending on enrollment, we create separate boys’ and girls’ divisions. The league includes eight thrilling games, with the option to add practice space and team jerseys for additional costs. Games are scheduled on weekends and weeknights at both J locations. Practices start in December and games kick off in January. Don’t miss out—team registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Get ready to have fun, improve your skills, and enjoy the camaraderie of basketball!

5th-8th grade. Gather your team, lace up your sneakers, and get ready to compete for the championship title! Join us for an action-packed double-elimination tournament, where young athletes can experience the thrill of competitive play in an exciting and supportive environment! Compete against some of the best young players, sharpen your basketball skills, and learn to think strategically under pressure. Our tournament emphasizes the importance of playing as a team. This tournament is open to teams of all skill levels; whether you’re a seasoned squad or just starting out, this is your chance to showcase your talent, learn, and have fun. Trophies award to division champions.
