Experience camping and afterschool programs at the J!
The J is committed to Camping — summer day camp, residential camp, or for days off school. With two award-winning experiences, your children will have the time of their lives this summer.
Discover the Spirit! J Day Camps
J Day Camps is the place for your family. Every child is welcome at the J, and our camps feature the activities kids love most – like swimming, sports, gymnastics and arts. In 2020, J Day Camps utilized ACA, CDC and other professional guidelines to provide a safe experience where kids were able to play with one another and connect in a way that had been missing for months – all while following COVID-19 safety protocols. As a result, campers grew as individuals as they camped safely with us.

Spend a Life-Changing Summer at Camp Sabra
Camp Sabra is a premier Jewish residential (sleep-away) camp, located on the Staenberg Peninsula at the Lake of the Ozarks. We welcome campers entering third through tenth grades. In a natural and beautiful setting on three miles of private shoreline, Camp Sabra offers sailing, water skiing, tubing, outdoor sports, theatre, campfires, challenge courses and SO much more!
For more information about Camp Sabra, contact Assistant Camp Director, Kimberly Holtzman Sloan, 314-442-3151.
When school is out, Vacation Days are in!
Your child can spend their days off at the J with friends and engage in a variety of activities (like swimming, games, crafts and recreation) at both J locations. Vacation Days run from 9am to 3pm on days when local school districts are not in session – holidays and snow days. Before- and after-care options are available, too. Vacation Days are for kids in grades K-5th at the Staenberg Family Complex and for grades K-8th at the Marilyn Fox Building.
