kindermusik 2016

Develop your child’s lifelong appreciation for music! Age appropriate classes blend singing, dancing, movement, multi-cultural selections and instrument play. Activities promote musical skills, coordination, language development, problem-solving and social interaction. Program supported by home materials including CDs, children’s literature, musical activity books and an exclusive Kindermusik instrument. Program is associated with the Community Music School of Webster University.

  • Sibling Discounts: register one child for any program and receive a $15 discount on the second registration. Call for discounts on materials for siblings/twins.
  • Early-bird Discounts: Save $10 if registered by August 11 for a 14-week class, $5 for a 7-week class.
  • Need-based tuition assistance available on website.
  • Registration fee: $10 per semester.

Demo Day - Sample a Class (newborn - 5 years)

Newborn – 5 years with an adult

Kindermusik Village (Newborn - 18mos)

Celebrate the miracle of your baby through gentle music, play, dance, movement, sounds, instruments and touch. You’ll learn to help unfold your baby’s natural gifts with every song, whisper and peek-a-boo.

Session 1: Feathers

Flying high and swooping low, our feathered friends accompany us as we explore steady beat, move and groove to the syncopated rhythms of jazz and discover the delights of moving fast and slow. Home materials include a CD of songs, a colorful picture board book, a set of art banners and a Kindermusik chime ball.

Session 2: Do-Si-Do

Pick up your baby and dance! Inspired by the Do-Si-Do storybook, explore how rhythm fosters your baby’s developing mind. A variety of classical and folk music opens the door to an engaging world of movement and instrument play. Home materials include a CD, a rhyming picture board book, a set of art banners and a Kindermusik egg shaker and scarf.

Our Time: Wiggles and Giggles (1.5 - 3.5yrs)

For the toddler, every day brings new opportunities for discovery. We’ll splish and splash to the steady beat, move fast and slow with our friends frog and squirrel, ride around the countryside on our lap horses, and affirm how movement and play nurtures learning. Home materials include a double CD, two interactive storybooks, a home activity book, and a pair of zigzag blocks instruments in a Wiggles and Giggles carry bag.

Imagine That!: See What I Saw (3-5 yrs)

Grasshopper Park provides the setting as we stretch our bodies and minds with music and movement and light up our imaginations to discover all that we can do together. We’ll explore vocal expressiveness, the rhythm of words and a variety of creative props and instruments. Home materials include two books, an interactive play set, a double CD, a family activity book and a clatterpillar instrument in an Imagine That! backpack.
