Kindermusik Village (Newborn - 18mos)

Celebrate the miracle of your baby through gentle music, play, dance, movement, sounds, instruments and touch. You’ll learn to help unfold your baby’s natural gifts with every song, whisper and peek-a-boo.

Session 1: Hickory, Dickory, Tickle and Bounce

Research show the more you expose your baby to nursery rhymes and song the stronger emerging language-learning skills will be. That’s why Mother Goose-like stories and rhymes are the main theme of this class. Plus, you’ll develop research-proven communication strategies with your child through listening activities, speaking “parentese” and sign lanuage. Home Materials include a CD of 33 beautifully arranged nursery rhymes and songs from class, a rhyming picture board book, a set of art banners and a baby fish shaker instrument for music-making at home.

Bring home those same stress-free play and relaxation techniques and incorporate them into your daily routines. Home materials include a CD of 27 beautifully arranged songs from class, a colorful picture board book with class themes, a set of art banners and a young maestro tambourine for music making at home.

Our Time: Milk & Cookies (1.5 - 3.5yrs)

We’ll meet many animal characters in our book, activities and songs – each specifically chosen for a toddler’s emerging interests and physical skills. With silly, bumpy lap bounces, we’ll help toddlers develop rhythm while further developing their ever-emerging language skills. With a special stringed instrument emphasisi in the music, parents can bring home the violin, cello and orchestra sounds to help their toddlers stay happy and engaged leaners at home, too. Home materials include a double CD featuring songs from class; two interactive storybooks to develop early literacy skills; a home activity book; a pair of green Fiddlestick instruments; all packaged in a dog-house shaped carry box.

Imagine That! (3-5 yrs)

Cities! Busy Places, Friendly Faces

Sidewalks, elevators, skyscrapers, shop keepers and world-traveling photographers are the theme. Learning through pretend play that preschoolers adore, we’ll be rhythmically busy playing storytelling games and handcrafting city “buildings” at home so we can make a cityscape in class! Plus every activity has some at-home adaptations so the parent can take part in the learning as preschoolers develop the social and intellectual skills they’ll need in school. Home materials include two literature books; board game; two CDs featuring a collection of multicultural and jazzy music; a family activity book; a pair of resonator bars with mallets; all packed in an Imagine That! backpack.
