Genetics and Hereditary Cancer: Let’s Learn Together

April 4 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

RSVP Today
Learn from a genetic counselor and oncologist about hereditary cancers, genetic counseling, and how this impacts risk and treatment decisions, as well as medical management.

Presenters:

Dr. Shannon Grabosch is a gynecologic oncologist who walks beside women from the time of their diagnosis throughout their treatment course.  She says that “each relationship has been such a gift for me.”  As a board member of St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness, she is dedicated to educating the community about the availability of genetic testing, optimizing ways to support patients starting their cancer journey, and working with survivors of all ages.

Dr. Susan Jones has been a cancer genetic counselor for six years and has worked at Missouri Baptist for the past year. She has worked in pediatrics and prenatal genetics, but she decided to specialize in cancer genetics because she loves how actionable it is – we can do so much to prevent cancer (or prevent it being detected late). Susan and her husband raised their children in Webster Groves and are still working on emptying their nest.
