Dear Members and Friends,

I hope you had a great summer! We had a wonderful season at Camp Sabra and J Day Camps, life-changing Maccabi Games experiences for teens in Birmingham and Miami, and countless beautiful days (and two terrific Member Appreciation nights) at our pools.

As we prepare for the Jewish high holidays, my thoughts are on all the good work we do here at the J. We are dedicated to the youngest children we educate in our licensed and accredited Early Childhood Centers, the elders we serve through Kitchen J and our Adult Day Center, and those of all ages, abilities and faiths in between who depend on us every day for recreation, education, cultural arts, and support of all types.

Many of you know us for fitness – but we’re so much more. I’m always surprised when someone says s/he doesn’t know we are a non-profit agency. The J provides social services and more than $500,000 in scholarships annually which allows us to serve and support more than 70,000 people each year!

Throughout this guide, you can find out more about what we do and who we serve. Thank you for your membership and participation. It is my hope that by learning more about the J, you will be inspired to help us further our mission.

Shanah Tovah!/Happy & Healthy New Year!
