“Through enhanced training, mentorship, and ongoing support, staff will be equipped to create intentional moments of learning, fun, and Jewish values throughout the camp day.”
I am excited to join the J as the new Senior Director of Day Camps and Youth Services. We’re already busy working behind the scenes planning for an amazing summer! In 2026, we plan to strengthen our J Day Camps by honoring the traditions that make them special while intentionally creating new experiences that reflect the evolving interests and needs of our campers and families. Our long-standing values, culture, and sense of community will remain at the heart of camp, but we will continue to refresh programming, so each summer feels exciting, relevant, and meaningful. Campers will have more opportunities to make choices in their daily activities, empowering them to take ownership of their camp experience while encouraging them to try new things in a supportive, inclusive environment. By blending familiar favorites with innovative programs, we can spark curiosity, build confidence, and deepen each camper’s connection to camp.
A key focus will be investing in high-quality, well-trained staff who are not only skilled and prepared, but also deeply committed to camper safety, engagement, and growth. Through enhanced training, mentorship, and ongoing support, staff will be equipped to create intentional moments of learning, fun, and Jewish values throughout the camp day. We will emphasize relationship-building, positive role modeling, and inclusive practices so every camper feels seen and valued. By prioritizing staff excellence, thoughtful program design, and meaningful choices for campers, the J Day Camps in 2026 will continue to be a place where tradition and innovation come together to create unforgettable summer experiences.
Looking forward to an exciting summer!
