Greetings, J Members:

Thank you for your consistent and constructive feedback regarding the atmosphere in our facility. In our ongoing commitment to ensure the J remains a truly restorative and stress-free space, we are implementing an adjustment to the content displayed on all screens starting Saturday, October 18.
This change is based on sustained member input and strongly aligns with our core philosophy of creating a healthy, welcoming, and distraction-free environment. We’re proud to join a growing movement among health and wellness facilities nationwide that are prioritizing mental and emotional well-being by limiting stress-inducing on-screen content. Our goal is to keep the focus squarely on your wellness journey, free of divisive or stressful content, and enjoyable for all ages.

What does this mean:

Beginning immediately, we are removing dedicated news networks (e.g., CNN, Fox News, MSNBC) from all televisions throughout the J facility—including fitness areas, lobbies, and common spaces.
  • News Channels Removed: All dedicated news programming will be unavailable on all communal screens.
  • Other Content Remains: Programming focused on sports, entertainment, and lifestyle will remain available for viewing.
  • Personal Streaming: As always, you are welcome to stream the content of your choice on your personal devices. We kindly remind you to always use earbuds and be mindful of volume and screen visibility to respect those exercising nearby.
We want your exercise time to leave you feeling energized, not stressed. This shift helps us deliver on that promise of a truly restorative environment.
Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring a welcoming and stress-free environment for the entire J community.

Best,

Nick
