And the treasure hunt doesn’t stop at books—you’ll also find an eclectic selection of DVDs, CDs, and records to round out your collection. Whether you’re a devoted collector, an avid reader, or simply love the thrill of the hunt, the J’s Used Book Sale offers something for everyone—and the best selections go fast!
Proceeds benefit Cultural Arts at the J and help bring great authors, films, and theatre to our St. Louis audiences.

Special collectors and book buyers are welcome to join us at the first VIP Preview of the J’s Winter Used Book Sale. We will give you limited access to browse our collection of books before we open the book sale to the public! Browse thousands of books to find the missing pieces in your collections with exclusive access!

10am – 6pm | OPENING DAY GENERAL HOURS | Admission $10
Line tickets will be handed out at 9am. Children 16 and under can browse for free.

Book buyers are welcome to peruse the collection for free.
Wednesday, January 28
10am – 7pm | BAG DAY | Admission FREE
Book buyers can peruse the collection for free and fill up a bag of books for just $10—or five bags for just $40! Bags will be provided upon entering.
Thursday, January 29
10am-8pm | BAG DAY 2 | Admission FREE
Book buyers can peruse the collection for free and fill up a bag of books for just $5—or five bags for just $20! Bags will be provided upon entering.

TEACHER & NONPROFIT DAY
Teachers and nonprofit representatives are invited to join us for the last day of our sale for FREE books! Build you classroom library, pick up some business leadership books for your staff, or share great reads with the communities you serve.
Books containing antisemitic, hateful rhetoric and narratives against Jews and other groups have no place at our sale. If you find a book with these topics, please turn it in to our volunteers or staff.
