Jewish Arts & Soul Project: Shibori Pillows for Passover
Local artist Randi Chervitz returns for a second edition of shibori dyeing at the Craft Alliance Center of Art + Design. Randi teaches wrapping and binding techniques to manipulate various shibori patterns. Using this age-old Japanese dyeing process, participants fashion pillows for reclining at the Passover table—a tradition that celebrates the luxuries afforded a free people. Seasoned artists and new students are welcome. Supplies and light refreshments will be provided.

The Jewish Arts and Soul Project will be hosting an indigo tye dye event at Craft Alliance! Learn the ancient art of indigo tie dye and create a piece of beautiful fabric to be used as a challah cover, a tallit bag, or to hide the Afikoman for a Passover celebration!
