DESCRIPTION:Step into a space where voices matter and ideas spark connection. The Ilene Joseph Salon Series invites women to gather for meaningful\, facilitated conversations on timely topics that impact our lives and our community. These intimate discussions are hosted in the homes of Nishmah members and are designed to inspire\, educate\, and give Jewish women a place to connect. Attendance is always free\, with donations to Nishmah welcome. \nThis salon is held in partnership with Women’s Philanthropy of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis.   \nSalon Topic: Strength and Resilience in the Darkest Moments: Stories from a Psychotrauma Medic\nHadas Rucham\, EMT\, social worker\, and clinical director of United Hatzalah’s Psychotrauma Unit\, will share her frontline experiences responding to some of the most devastating crises of our time\, including local Iranian missile attacks\, Hurricane Ian\, and the horrific Bondi Beach shooting in Australia. \nHeld in the Beit Midrash at the Staenberg Family Center’s Arts & Education Building. \n\nRegister to Attend\nRegistration is required. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Ilene Joseph Salon Series is part of Nishmah: The St. Louis Jewish Women’s Project and named for Ilene Joseph\, z”l\, one of Nishmah’s founders and a passionate supporter of the Salon Series.

Together\, we will share stories\, vent\, and learn tools for navigating the emotional side of motherhood-from identity shifts\, setting boundaries\, mom guilt\, and self-compassion. You will also receive practical tools for addressing your sleep concerns and other real-life mom struggles. It’s about connecting with others\, dropping the pressure\, and remembering you are already enough. This group is professionally lead by MSW and pediatric sleep coach Jessica Manela Litwack\, who has more than 14 years of experience working with moms and families. \nThis circle is a program of The J’s Family Center and takes place each Thursday from January 29 through March 5\, 2026. \nFREE | NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED \n  \n\nThe J’s Family Center is a welcoming space where families with young children (ages 5 and under) come to connect\, learn\, and grow together.
