Along with Momentum sisters from around the world and Israeli women and mothers\, this special educational journey leads participants not only through Israel but also to a more meaningful Jewish identity. The Momentum Journey is the inspiration to connect to Jewish values\, engage more deeply with Israel\, and gain the confidence to take action by standing up and speaking out. \nThis is a heavily subsidized trip. Fruit\, veggies\, wine\, nuts\, sweets\, etc. are welcome! \n\nAbout the Book\nThe Heaven & Earth Grocery Store is a 2023 novel by James McBride. The story tells of a Black community and Jewish immigrants in the 1930s in Pottstown\, Pennsylvania\, centered around a grocery store that acts as a community hub. The narrative\, framed by the discovery of a skeleton in 1972\, explores themes of racism\, community\, and resilience as it reveals the secrets and interconnected lives of the residents of Chicken Hill\, highlighting acts of love and solidarity that cross racial divides. Each year\, the community comes together to celebrate connection\, honor the legacy of a visionary leader\, and support programs that bring hope\, education\, and strength to individuals and families facing hereditary cancers. \n\nRegistration\nThe event is free with advance registration! Donations appreciated. \nRegistration Coming Soon \n\nAbout Lynnie’s Light\nLynn Isaacs Palan (Lynnie) was a pioneer and leader of both Nishmah: The St. Louis Jewish Women’s Project and Sharsheret Supports STL\, from which The Hamsa Wellness Community evolved. Through her passionate volunteerism and professional work in these organizations and many others\, she was dedicated to building vibrant communities and changing lives\, especially for individuals living with\, or at increased genetic risk of developing cancer. Lynnie lost her battle to breast cancer on April 10\, 2018\, leaving a legacy of philanthropy among her family\, friends\, and the entire St. Louis community.
