SUMMARY:Adeena Sussman: A Jewish Book Festival & Speaker Series Event
DESCRIPTION:Zariz: 100 Easy\, Breezy\, Tel Aviv-y Recipes\nby Adeena Sussman\nModerated by Rachel Holtzman \nJ Member Ticket Pricing: \n$48.64 per couple (includes fees and 1 copy of the cookbook) \nNon-Member Ticket Pricing: \n$48.64 per attendee (includes fees and 1 copy of the cookbook)\n$64.86 per couple (includes fees and 1 copy of the cookbook) \nBook Festival All-Access Pass Holders: \nAdmission is included in your pass (cookbook may be purchased separately at the event) \nBUY TICKETS \nFor Adeena Sussman\, the kitchen is an island of calm: a place where she can center her mind\, set the rules\, and create a daily haven of deliciousness through her cooking. These days\, she finds herself embracing the mantra “when the going gets tough\, the cooking gets easy.” Pandemics\, wars\, and the busy pace of a very full life have led her toward a smoother\, more streamlined cooking approach embodied in the Hebrew word for quick\, zariz\, in her newest cookbook\, Zariz: 100 Easy\, Breezy\, Tel Aviv-y Recipes (Avery; On-sale April 28). \nThis pared-down style doesn’t mean sacrificing the rhythms\, sounds\, and sensory pleasures we experience while preparing vibrant\, yet simple recipes. Instead\, it has led her to rely on fewer pots and pans\, a more edited pantry of highly versatile ingredients to create maximum flavor\, and simple\, thoughtful techniques that bring meals together effortlessly—always with her signature\, flavor-forward style. \nMost of the recipes in this cookbook contain fewer than 12 ingredients—not including olive oil\, salt\, pepper\, and lemons\, which are staples of Adeena’s Middle Eastern & Mediterranean-inspired dishes\, and already in most pantries. Recipes include: \n\nSunny Sheet Pan Shakshuka\nBaharat-Spiced Mushroom Hummus\nGorgeous Green Salad with Labaneh-Lime Dressing\nHachapuri Pizza\nSpice-Drawer Schnitzel\nPreserved Lemon\, Asparagus\, & Cherry Tomato Orzotto\nGrilled Hoisin-Harissa Lamb Chips & Plums with Herb Salad\n\nAbout the Author\n \nAdeena Sussman is the New York Times bestselling author of Shabbat and Sababa. She cooks and writes from her kitchen in Tel Aviv\, where she lives in the city’s Carmel Market neighborhood with her husband\, Jay Shofet. \nSee more at: \nIG: @adeenasussman (257k)\nTikTok: @adeenasussman (20K)\nwww.adeenasussman.com \nBUY TICKETS
