Sharsheret Supports presents an evening to positively influence your health now and in the future. This educational program features Suzanne Mahon, genetics-certified nurse, who will discuss the newest research in genetics, including increased cancer risk for Ashkenazi Jews. Explore common misconceptions that fuel confusion, why your family history matters and options for genetic testing. Hear a pre-vivor’s personal journey and ask your questions in a Q&A. Refreshments served.

PLUS: Women in their 20s and 30s are invited at 6pm to join Nerot: Young Women of Nishmah for a FREE, pre-event dinner and conversation with Kathy Bearman, LCSW. In this intimate space we’ll discuss issues relevant to young women, such as assessing one’s risk and supporting friends and family through cancer treatment. Kosher, dairy dinner served.
