Save the Date: Encore Screening of On the Map
Sunday, February 25 5:30pm

On the Map will screen at the J’s Arts & Education Building in Creve Coeur on February 25at 5:30pm. This film tells the story of the Israeli Maccabi team. After beating a dynamic Soviet basketball team, team captain, Tal Brody, exclaimed in American-accented Hebrew, “We are on the Map, we are staying on the Map, not only in sports, but in everything.” That phrase and the Maccabi Tel Aviv team, a combination of NBA also-rans and Israeli players, rallied a nation in its David-and-Goliath pursuit of the 1977 European Championship.

The film features interviews with the athletes who made history along with pulse-pounding footage of the high stakes game combined with an incendiary political situation. On the Map played to a sold-out crowd at the June 2017 St. Louis Jewish Film Festival.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $11 at the door. To buy tickets in advance, call 314.442.3179 or go to www.brownpapertickets.com
