Be Aware and Be Safe: College-bound Seniors

July 22, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

$75

Attention college-bound seniors, we have a class just for you! Be Aware and Be Safe, led by Jo Fountain, is a college preparatory class that will help you make the right decision in any type of tough situation you may find yourself in while at school.

Her training will help you not only avoid the fight –  but win it as well. Learn to create habits of awareness such as avoiding potentially risky situations, actively and deliberately practicing awareness to stay safe, and train without the use of a weapon or physical self-defense.

Fountain has explored the idea and practice of awareness, and will offer ideas that can reduce your risk. She has been practicing martial arts for most of her life, getting serious about karate in her early 20s. She began to think about the unique traits that martial arts training instills and how the extended practice of martial arts teaches you to be aware.
