When considering a new gym, what attributes are important; quality, amenities, and flexibility? So why not give the same benefits to your child. Starting at just six-weeks of age and through 5 years, the St. Louis Jewish Community Center’s Early Childhood Center offers professional care (full- and part-time) at two locations. Children learn best when in a nurturing environment; one that introduces them to the world of art, math, language, reading, science, movement — at their pace.  This follows the guidelines set forth by the Missouri Education Association and aligns to Missouri’s Project Construct curriculum, which the J uses in each classroom.  It’s also important at an early age to begin laying the foundation of learning between right and wrong.  This is why the Early Childhood program utilizes “An Ethical Start” program which weaves Jewish values of friendship, respect and charity into the daily life of each classroom.

Outside of the classroom, children have access to state-of-the-art facilities to engage in structured physical education classes in our gymnasiums and/or fitness studios, swimming in the J’s indoor and outdoor pools (all age appropriate, of course) and exploring the outdoors on a playground that encourages multi-sensory play complete with a climbing wall, water toys and sandbox.

Combine the quality care, outstanding amenities and flexible schedules available to all parents and you have one fantastic learning environment, ready to care for your child. For more information on the J’s Early Childhood Center, please click here.
